1996年10月20日、東京国際センターにおいて開催された「第3回手話に関する国際セミナー」(全日本ろうあ連盟・日本手話研究所外国手話研究部共催) で、JICA研修生として来日したプルワンチャルろう学校教師であるネパール人男性ろう者バヌ・アチャリャ (Bhanu Acharya) が講演。

2007年、「広げよう愛の輪運動基金 ダスキン・アジア太平洋障害者リーダー育成事業」第9期生として、ネパール人男性ろう者ダイ・シレスタ・アムリット (Dai Shrestha Amrit) (来日時26歳) が来日。

2001年、「広げよう愛の輪運動基金 ダスキン・アジア太平洋障害者リーダー育成事業」第3期生として、ネパール人男性ろう者カッカ・ロケシュ (Khadka LOKESH) (来日時23歳) が来日。

1996年9月-10月、プルワンチャルろう学校教師であるネパール人男性ろう者バヌ・アチャリャ (Bhanu Acharya) が、JICA研修生として来日。第3回手話に関する国際セミナー (全日本ろうあ連盟・日本手話研究所外国手話研究部共催、1996年10月20日、東京国際センター) で講演。

1990年代より、JICA研修生としてネパール人ろう者が多数来日。
